[Angola] More than 2,000 women received certification for the General Conference Women’s Ministries (GC WM) Leadership certification program, level 3, during a training conference in Huambo. Barnandeth Jailul of Huambo, age 87, received her certification and was honored during the award ceremony for her faithfulness and commitment to women of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Apart from the leadership training, the women participated in an outreach activity where they distributed toiletries to one of the biggest hospitals in Angola. In addition, the women sensitized the community on the need to end violence in the homes and community.

Facilitators Raquel Arrais, associate director for GC Women’s Ministries, and Caroline Chola, director for SID Women’s Ministries, led the training during the four-day conference, August 22-25, 2018, which was organized by Florinda Benjamin, women’s ministries director for South-Western Angola Union Conference in Huambo.
