[Botswana] The hot topics for leadership training in Botswana are evangelistic training for women, mentoring young women, making prayer the focus of life, and becoming leaders of excellence.

Leaders of Women’s Ministries (WM) and Young Adventist Women’s Ministries (YAWM) attended leadership training conferences in both South Botswana Conference, February 11 and 12, and in North Botswana Conference, February 17-19, 2017. South Botswana’s Kanye Hospital hosted 92 women and 97 women gathered the following weekend in North Botswana in Maun.

The meetings also addressed departmental advisory issues such as collaboration between Conference departments and implementing Total Member Involvement, an initiative of the Seventh-day Adventist Church during 2015-2020. WM and YAWM leaders were also introduced to innovative programs provided by the General Conference Women’s Ministries Department in March 2016 for division directors during the world departmental advisory.

WM leaders and coordinators in both Botswana Conferences expressed gratitude to the union WM department for equipping them with knowledge and material that will help them become leaders of excellence. Plans for frontline activities in their churches and communities will also include the vision, mission, and resources of the world church leaders for Women’s Ministries.
