Dear Sisters,
Joyful New Year my sisters! I have so much to thank God for as this New Year begins. My heart overflows with joy at His many tender mercies in the life of my family and myself. I cannot stop thanking Him for the way He has worked in our lives. God has also blessed us in General Conference Women's Ministries (GCWM), and I must pause to give Him thanks for a few of these blessings.
Thank You Ab (Father) for:
- The staff of GCWM – Raquel Arrais (associate director), Rebecca Timon (editorial assistant), and Desirée Calixte (my administrative assistant). These three women give so much of their time, energies, and love to this ministry and they love God with all their hearts which is seen in all they do.
- WM directors who work in the division/union/conference/mission/church level. Leaders who are dedicated and passionate about ministering to our sisters in their fields and who make many sacrifices to do this ministry.
- Each Seventh-day Adventist woman throughout our world field who gives of her time, finances, and spiritual gifts to nurture and empower each other to be ready for the return of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
- Church leaders around the world who support the work of this department and value the contribution of women to our church.
My list of thanks can go on and on, but I will end with just one more. I thank God for the wisdom, love, and strength He pours into our lives each day so that we can carry out the mission He has given to us.
So I say with the Psalmist:
“For this, O Lord, I will praise you among the nations;
I will sing praises to your name.”
