Girls4Christ Exhibit Attracts Attention at Youth Congress in Germany

Inter-European Division (EUD)

[Germany] Girls4Christ project was promoted at an exhibit during the Youth Congress in Kasel, September 29-October 3, 2016. Although geared to reaching young women and providing information, young men also visited the booth where visitors received resources of MiniCards, post cards, ballpoint pens and wrist bands. The exhibit team of Women’s Ministries leaders from local conferences and both North and South German Unions took time to converse with visitors in depth.

A Bible art journaling project attracted young people to create artwork with crayons, paper, glue, and other tiny treasures to illustrate Bible verses. The exhibit team explained how the process of art journaling is a special way of concentrating on Bible texts and internalizing their meaning.

The time spent at the creative table was valued and enjoyed by young people and leadership team alike. Conversation flowed easily with questions arising from life, the future, and faith. In the midst of the stimulating activity of the congress and exhibits, Girls4Christ booth was a good place to talk and where peace and balance were restored.

As a team we are grateful for the encounters and the contacts at the booth. Once more we realized what an important part Girls4Christ has become to our Women’s Ministries mission, particularly in mentoring our girls and young women.

We are grateful for the entire youth congress program, from the spoken word, sketches, and praise time to presentations conducted with professional style. We were blessed.
