[Germany] Engaging workshops and uplifting music inspired 250 women from Austria, Germany, and Switzerland who attended a Women’s Ministries union-wide congress held for German-speaking women in September 2017 on the campus of Friedensau Adventist University in Friedensau, Germany.

Guest speaker Sonja Kalmbach, pastor in Sweden, presented an in-depth study, “Encounter Becomes Enthusiasm,” of the encounter of Jesus with the woman at the well and what it means to the 21st Century woman. Raquel Arrais, associate director of Women’s Ministries at the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, showed in a memorable way how God wants to replace our rags with a new dress of His righteousness.

The devotion and talent of the worship team led participants in singing praises to God with beautiful voices. Christian songwriter and singer, Sefora Nelson, treated attendees with a concert.

Ten women received certificates from Andrews University for completing three levels of the Women’s Ministries Leadership Certification training.

A special treat for congress attendees was being gifted with the Adventist Women’s Bible, translated into German and recently printed, through the donations of individuals and church entities.
