Hundreds Attend Women’s Meetings in St. Louis
July 7–10, 2025 | General Conference Session | Celeste Diaz-Vazquez
From Monday, July 7, to Thursday, July 10, hundreds of women attending the General Conference Session joined the Ministerial Spouses Association (MSA) and the Women’s Ministries (WM) Department for their joint meetings. America’s Center Ballroom served as the venue for the event. Audrey Andersson and Pierre Omeler welcomed attendees and participants on the first day of the meetings. Aurora Canals and Galina Stele, heads of the event and their respective departments, presented coordinators and directors for MSA and WM.
Nina Atcheson, senior editor for the Alive in Jesus Sabbath School Curriculum, spoke each morning. Her messages focused on Jesus—developing and nourishing a connection with Him. In the evening, Sikhu Daco, an associate editor for Adventist Review Ministries, shared a message on biblical submission along with parts of her own testimony. Karen Holford elaborated on the “I Will Go” portion of the meeting’s theme: “Jesus Is Coming; I Will Go Reach My World.” She offered practical suggestions for missionary connection and ministry within the circle of influence available to each woman present. Elaine Oliver encouraged the audience to identify trauma and to address it through the lens of God’s care and love for us. Margret Mulambo addressed the Christian life and God’s call for His followers to be salt and light in the world.
In addition to these inspirational and mission-focused messages, participants enjoyed a variety of special music by artists from around the world. A fun highlight of the program included exercise segments presented by Nancy Wilson and health evangelism–focused educational institutions, including Weimar University, Eden Valley, and Hartland College.
The four days of meetings culminated in a final service. Elaine Oliver, Katia Reinert, Pierre Omeler, and Ramon Canals shared a special reading focusing on the end of Christ’s life. This was followed by consecration and prayer by Pastor Ramon Canals.
