[Zimbabwe] Mudzi village lies 350 kilometers into the Mutoko District bordering Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Under the leadership of Mrs. Chipo Mhandu, Women’s Ministries director for the North Zimbabwe Conference, 70 women traveled to this area with no Seventh-day Adventist presence.
They formed 32 evangelistic sites and for two weeks held meetings and reached out the community through other service activities. They visited schools and distributed school uniforms to the underprivileged children. They visited Kotwa Rural Hospital and donated bed sheets, maternity pads, bath soap, foot slippers, washing soap, and baby clothes.
As a result of the outreach, 163 people baptized including seven headmen and their wives. One headman donated a piece of land for a church building. The women are currently organizing funds to erect the church.
