The Happy Planet Index is a new measure of progress that focuses on what matters: sustainable well-being for all. It tells us how well nations are doing in terms of supporting their inhabitants to live good lives now, while ensuring that others can do the same in the future.
In a time of uncertainty, the Index provides a clear compass pointing nations in the direction they need to travel, and helping groups around the world to advocate for a vision of progress that is truly about people’s lives. Below, Happy Planet Index points out the 7 countries with the best score when the issue is happiness of their people.
“God is not honored when we turn everything to ridicule one day, and the next day are discouraged and almost hopeless, having no light from Christ, and ready to find fault and murmur. He is pleased when His people manifest solidity, strength, and firmness of character, and when they have cheerful, happy, hopeful dispositions. . . . (Ellen G White, Evangelism, p. 642). “Happy is that people, whose God is the Lord” (Psalm 144:15).

When the truth in its practical character is urged upon the people because you love them, souls will be convicted, because the Holy Spirit of God will impress their hearts (Ellen G White, Evangelism, p. 124).
We are to present the truth in the way that Christ told His disciples to present it—in simplicity and love (Ellen G White, Evangelism, p. 143).
As you seek to draw others within the circle of His love, let the purity of your language, the unselfishness of your service, the joyfulness of your demeanor, bear witness to the power of His grace (Ellen G White, The Ministry of Healing, p. 156).
