High Tea and Inspiration for Widows

South Africa | SID WM | February 6, 2023 | Margery Herinirina

Pampering widows for the day strengthens the faith of women in both the church and community.

Women gathered near the beautiful beaches of the Indian Ocean at Richard’s Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, for a special day of ministering to widows. These women received blessings through inspirational messages, helpful presentations, and the excitement of High Tea.

Hosting the event in warm December 2022, the Umhlathuze District Women’s Ministries team also invited widows from the community as part of their outreach activity.

The sermon strengthened their faith in God, the prayer sessions lifted their hearts spiritually, and the seminar presentations brought hope for the future, touching on issues familiar to them—stress, anxiety, depression, and coping with loss.

All widows were pampered with love and special goodies, bringing them so much joy that they were described as looking stunned and happy.
