Adventist women invite friends to share a week of camp-meeting for singles

Single women are encouraged by stories of the accomplishments of Biblical characters when God is their True Partner

Inter-European Division (EUD)

[Romania] Nine of the twenty-six single women who spent a week in the beautiful mountain resort of Sinaia, Romania, were invited friends of church members. The morning Bible study was the favorite activity of the guests, but they greatly appreciated all the activities of this seventh annual camp-meeting for single women of Romania, held September 10-16, 2018.

The theme of the week, "Single, But Never Alone," focused on biblical characters like Esther, Gideon, Hagar, and Balaam, who demonstrate what single people can do when they find God as their true partner. Emilia Avramiea presented the daily Bible study. Everyone was blessed in the special atmosphere of Spirit-filled evening worship where most of the women shared their testimonies during the week of worships.

Daily activities also included morning exercise. “We are so grateful to God who richly blessed us with sunny and warm weather that encouraged all of us to go out and enjoy the beauty of the forest and mountains every day,” writes Viorica Avramiea, coordinator of the Romanian Union ministry for singles and host of the event.

Strengthened and empowered by the good news received, all participants committed to go into their world at home and share the gospel of God’s love.
