Sabbath message revives the spirit of women in Romania

Women receive a blessing through the story that Jesus weeps with us.

Inter-European Division (EUD)

[Romania] Sabbath, November 21, 2020, was a very important date in the calendar for Romanian Adventist women. We invited a special guest to our homes, sister Raquel Arrais, Associate Director of the General Conference Women’s Ministries Department. We were very anxious to meet her and she came with a message of hope and revival, and planted it in our hearts. 147 women from Romania and from other countries listened to the word of God from the Gospel of John, chapter 11.

The precious lessons that we discovered together helped us to realize that we are not alone in this world and that filled us with courage. "Jesus is coming! Don’t give up now!" Arrais encouraged listeners. "Jesus comes to see our pain, and He has the solution for all our problems. You can cry. He even cries with us. He knows our tears, and He has the solution. There is life! Jesus can bring everything to life because He is the resurrection and the life!”

Her words of hope enabled us to understand that we are messengers of hope, anchors for others. Then we enjoyed together the verse from Revelation 21:4, "God will wipe away every tear from their eyes....There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

The closing prayer was presented by sister Dagmar Dorn, Women's Ministries director for the Inter-European Division, and our hearts were comforted by her words filled with compassion, love and empathy for the women in Romania and around the world. She lifted us in prayer before God, and we felt the invigorating presence of the Holy Spirit in our souls.

The translation was provided throughout the meeting by sister Elida Oncea. May God bless us all!
