[Botswana] Building on the successful experience of the 2017 conference for Young Adventist Women’s Ministries in South Botswana, 220 young ladies registered and attended the second conference held in Kanye Education Centre, August 31-September 2, 2018.

The conference theme “Flawless Me” was based on the scripture text, Psalm 51:10, “Create in me a clean heart, O God.” The guest speaker was Pastor Lungile Ndabayakhe from South Africa. Leading the Epaphrus moment of the conference was a young woman, Thato Ntswaneng.

Additional conference speakers included Susan Williams, women’s ministries director for Botswana Union Conference, who spoke about “Sisterhood”; Mrs. Josephine Nkosana titled her presentation “You Are Enough”; Mrs. Constance Matabiswana presented “Forgive Them for You”; Dr. Dorothy Mooka’s seminar was “My Mind, My Health;” and Mr. Kenneth Williams’ presentation “Priceless” discussed a pertinent issue with which young women are deeply concerned—sex and money.

Sabbath evening included a beautiful poetry session where young women serenaded amazing poems emphasizing the theme of the evening, “Flawlessly So.”

A high tea Sunday morning, supporting the theme “Bonded,” brought the conference to a close—but not before young women worshipped, networked, and listened to the presentation, “Back to the Factory,” by guest speaker Pastor Ndabayakhe.
