"Gorgeous to God" Blog Is Relevant and Engaging Teens

An Adventist online ministry to young women gains worldwide readership during COVID-19.

North American Division (NAD)

[Maryland, USA] In 2017, NAD Women’s Ministries created a blog to facilitate conversation about real-life issues and to give our young women a place to ask tough questions anonymously. Today, Gorgeous2God has nearly 50,000 followers on Facebook, 2,000 on Instagram, and the blog is viewed by several hundred readers each month.

We receive questions about relationships, dating, anxiety and depression, regret, broken families, same-sex attraction, and many other topics. Within 48 hours, they are answered by a compassionate mentor who shares sound advice from a Christian perspective. The questions and responses are posted on the blog so others can read and recognize that they are not alone in their struggle.

During COVID-19, the blog has been visited by almost 2,500 new readers from around the world.

Our teens and young adults are searching for a faith that is relevant, engaging, and serves others in practical ways. As leaders, parents, and mentors, we have a critical role to play in encouraging them as they search and showing compassion and understanding when they stumble. Please follow gorgeous2god and encourage the young women in your fields to join our community. Life is tough, but we don’t have to face it alone.
