Southern Asia-Pacific Division Celebrates Twenty-five Years of the Department of Women's Ministries
Helen Gulfan gives personal testimony of what Women's Ministries means to her.
Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD)
Women's Ministries leaders in the unions of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division organized events celebrating the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Department of Women's Ministries. On that Sabbath, Helen Gulfan, division director of Women's Ministries, was invited to be a guest speaker in various places via online streaming.
"It's amazing using this technology! We can be in different places preaching even with different topics. Praise God. This pandemic is a real blessing also to God’s work. The women are aggressive even at this time in sharing compassion and preaching the good news via radio, Zoom, Facebook and Hope TV channels," says Gulfan.
For the programs organized, we encouraged the unions to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of Women's Ministries, and thus far, North Philippine Union Conference and Bangladesh Adventist Union Mission have done theirs and the rest will follow after our division-wide anniversary celebration on October 16, 2020. Our guest speakers are Heather-Dawn Small, director of Women's Ministries worldwide, and Raquel Arrais, associate director.
To celebrate Women's Ministries' twenty-fifth anniversary, the women in Central Mindanao Mission, Philippines, held evangelistic series. The theme of the virtual meetings was "The Way to Eternal Life."
