Women of Nevada and Utah are inspired by "Tell Me Your Story" retreat theme

Speakers tell stories of unique, even miraculous, ways God works in their lives.

North American Division (NAD)

[Utah, USA] Stories told during the Tell Me Your Story-themed women's ministries retreat inspired and uplifted 120 women of Nevada and Utah gathered in Midway, Utah. Each speaker shared how God works in her own life or can work in your life.

"God time," one of the presentations by Melody Darrow, women's ministries director at Nevada-Utah Conference, showed attendees that deeper engagement with God helps us learn about Him in ways we haven't seen before. This is particularly true in Biblical stories of God working in the lives of His people. Darrow advises focusing on one line of Scripture at a time by using the story hooks of who, what, where, when, and why to investigate. Darrow, who pastors a church in Las Vegas, admitted she "found things in every single line that I did not think of before" when she began this practice.

"My Story," a song by Big Daddy Weave inspired the retreat theme, "Tell Me Your Story," and singing this song opened worship Sabbath morning during the late-October weekend in 2018.
