Heather-Dawn Small, Director of General Conference Women's Ministries welcomes you to the virtual world conference.
Pastor Ted N. C. Wilson, President of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, speaks to the women of the world church during the Women's Ministries inaugural world conference, October 29, 2021.
Women in nearly 50 countries watched the live-streamed conference
Enthusiastic women rose early or went to bed late to watch the Women General Conference Women's Ministries (GCWM) "I will Go Reach My World" World Conference. In many places women gathered in homes and churches to watch by YouTube and Facebook (pictured from top to bottom are Korea, Benin, Niger). Some congregations watched the Sabbath livestream from beginning to end at their churches for Sabbath services because of the broadcast time. Commenting in the chat feature during the livestream, women requested that the event become an annual event.
Women’s Ministries leaders in the administrative regions of the church, thirteen divisions and three attached territories prepared short video reports about their activities giving ideas and encouragement to viewers. Women ministering in their churches and communities adjusted their methods with creativity during the world pandemic and lockdown. These activities are numerous and varied, but all fulfilled the Women's Ministries mission statement for Nurture, Empower, Outreach.
Sermons and seminars focused on Women’s Ministries' three areas of ministry, Nurture, Empower, Outreach, and also included Prayer.
The worldwide Women’s Ministries leaders also provided music videos, many recorded for Zoom or live stream programs in the past 18 months. Some presentations were original compositions by women of their regions. Two compositions had been theme songs composed for recent "I Will Go" women's conferences in Euro-Asia Division and Southern Africa-Indian Ocean Division.
Broadcast on both the Seventh-day Adventist and GCWM YouTube channels and Facebook pages, the virtual conference was held Friday and Sabbath, October 29 and 30, 2021, 6:00 - 10:00am Eastern Standard Time (New York City time). No registration was needed for this free conference.
How will you respond to the Lord's question, "Who will go? Will you join GCWM in saying, "Yes, Lord, send me. I WILL GO Reach My World."
