Sixty-nine women earn certificates in leadership training, level 1

Women's ministries leaders are passionate about training women for serving in positions of leadership

[Zambia] An intensive twelve-course training program gave 69 women the training needed to earn certificates in General Conference Women’s Ministries (GC WM) Leadership Certification Level 1.

Women from three districts—Kalabo, Mongu Central, and Mongu North—arrived in Mongu, Zambia for the three-day conference, held July 13-15, 2018 by Mildred Ngula, women's ministries director for West Zambia Field.

Conference facilitator Beatrice Bondo, women's ministries director for Southern Zambia Union Conference, said, “Developing and cultivating the abilities of women is one of the tasks of the WM department to which we are committed.” She emphasized the fact that the four-level GC WM Leadership Certification program has come about because "we realize the great need for the women of our church to develop skills that will enable them to serve in positions of leadership."

Ellen. G. White reminds us, “There is a higher purpose for woman, a grander destiny. She should develop and cultivate her powers, for God can employ them in the great work of saving souls from eternal ruin” (Evangelism, p. 465).
